Simon and Max will have 2 weeks off for Christmas and New Year and on their last day they got to wear their Santa hats.
We are not sure what inspired Simon tonight, but he decided to wash the hair of Max, and it was very cute.
This morning Simon and Max got to find little surprises from St. Nikolaus. They had been good, they cleaned up well yesterday and left their boots out for Nikolaus. So today when they got up they looked at the boots with the surprise but decided to first go for the morning milk. Smart kids with correct priorities – milk over candy. But once the milk was gone it was time see what Nikolaus had left them .
On this very cold Sunday we were busy decorating a gingerbread house and afterwards we took the boys to the playground.
Max also was ready to get going
Simon was a pretty good helper
Max was after the m&m candy and the icing.
The finished product.
A quick clip
Ready to go for a chilly walk to the playground
Apparently only mama and papa noticed the cold temps.
A bit of balance beam action.
Max walked quite a bit despite the bulky clothing.
Mama and the boys
Although we did not encourage this, Simon has somehow mastered a new skill on the slide.
Max was completely fascinated with the massive music box on the roof of the Wake Health Hospital.
Below are a few images from recent activities with the boys, in no particular order and with no particular theme.

That was hard work
I can now float in my back
We have an exciting new throne
